What are cookies
Cookies are text files, containing small amounts of information, that are stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website, or other similar technologies. On each subsequent visit, cookies are sent back to the website that originated them (first-party cookies), or to another website (third-party cookies) and recognized by it. Cookies are useful precisely because they allow a website to recognize a user’s device. Cookies cannot recall any other data from your hard disk, nor transmit computer viruses or acquire email addresses.
Why we use cookies
Cookies allow our website to “remember” users for the duration of their visit (session cookies) or for several visits (permanent cookies). Cookiescan perform various functions. Some are essential and allow you to navigate effectively, set and maintain preferences and more generally to improve and optimize your navigation on a website.
How we use cookies
In order to provide you with the services you have requested, we use cookies as you navigate through our website. Most cookies are session cookies, i.e. they are used to make the website work correctly and are automatically deleted when you close your browser; other types of cookies are, however, saved on your computer’s hard disk and can only be read by the server that has previously stored them. Cookies make the use of the Internet more efficient and easier: for example, they allow you to type your password less frequently during the same browsing session, if you have explicitly requested this functionality. Cookies used on the Web Sites, and therefore also on our site, have the purpose of storing specific technical information regarding users accessing the servers: many operations on the Web Sites could not be carried out without the use of cookies, which are therefore technically necessary in such cases. For example, access to your personal page and reserved areas of a Site and all the activities you can perform on a Site would be much more complex and less secure without the presence of cookies, which allow you to identify yourself and keep your identification during the session. In any case, the use of cookies by us is carried out in full compliance with the provisions of current legislation on the subject, which allows the use of these technologies for certain legitimate purposes, such as technical storage for the time strictly necessary to transmit a communication or provide a specific service requested by the User, who may always object to the processing of his data in the manner listed below.
Management information and deactivation of cookies
You will always have the possibility to accept all cookies, to be informed about their use or to deactivate them by modifying the settings of the navigation program you use (also called “browser”). Please note that if you decide to deactivate or remove cookies from your browser, this may make certain parts of the site inaccessible and less functional. The most popular browsers have different procedures for managing cookies and we recommend that you visit the dedicated page through their link. To deactivate analytical and profiling cookies, please refer to the dedicated functionality below.
Types of Cookies
Technical” cookies are divided into browsing cookies and session cookies. These are strictly necessary to ensure normal navigation and use of the site. These cookies may be diversified according to their persistence on the user’s terminal. In fact, while session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of each navigation, navigation cookies have a longer life. We use browsing or session cookies to:
– the anonymous management of site consultation;
– allow authentication for access to reserved areas of the site;
– the management of personal preferences set by you for the use of cookies.
These Cookies are necessary to navigate within the sites themselves as they allow essential functions such as authentication, validation, management of a browsing session and allow, for example, to identify whether the user has had regular access to the Reserved Area or user validation and management of browsing sessions and fraud prevention. Some of them are implanted in the user/contractor’s terminal (they will not be used for further purposes), such as session cookies used to fill the shopping cart in online purchases of services on the Portal, customization cookies e.g. for the choice of navigation language, recall ID and Password.
Technical cookies are essential and can be used even without the consent of the person concerned. They are for example:
– cookies with data compiled by the user (session identifier), the duration of a session or persistent cookies limited to a few hours in some cases;
– cookies for authentication, used for the purposes of authenticated services, of the duration of a session;
– user-centric security cookies, used to identify misuse of authentication, for a limited persistent duration;
– session cookies for multimedia players, such as cookies for “flash” players, for the duration of a session;
– session cookies for load balancing, for the duration of a session;
– persistent cookies for customizing the user interface, for the duration of a session (or slightly more);
Analytical or analytics cookies:
The so-called Analytics Cookies are used to statistically analyze accesses/visits to the site, and pursue exclusively statistical and non-statistical purposes, including profiling or marketing. They collect information in aggregate form, without the possibility of tracing back the identification of the individual user. For this type of cookies, we inform you that you can always deactivate these cookies (so-called opt out).
Deactivation of Analytics or Analytics Cookies:
To deactivate analytical cookies or analytics just follow the instructions below: Open your browser, select the Settings Menu, click on “Internet Options”, open the privacy tab and choose the level of cookie blocking you want. If you want to delete cookies already stored in memory, simply open the Security Card and delete the history by checking the “delete cookies” box.
Your own profiling cookies
We may use our own profiling cookies, i.e. cookies that allow us to collect data relating to the experience of use and enjoyment of our content by users, in order to outline profiles of consumption habits and send commercial communications, as well as to customize navigation pages in line with the profiles and interests of different users. The management of this type of cookies with regard to consent and its revocation may be managed directly from this section. We remind you that revocation will not, however, remove advertisements from the web pages that are visited by users, but will make these advertisements not based on your interests.
Edit
If you have declined the use of cookies for profiling purposes, we will not be able to provide you with any personalised content based on your browsing using such cookies. We want you to know that you can always choose to accept or decline cookies for profiling purposes through the Web Privacy Policy and Cookies. If you choose to decline cookies for profiling purposes, you can still continue to use the site because the above technical cookies will not be blocked. The option you select will be stored for one year and you will always be able to change your preference for cookies for profiling purposes.
Third-party profiling cookies
Please note that “Analytical, profiling Third Party Cookies” may be installed on our site. For these, without prejudice to the possibility of disabling them through your browser settings as already indicated, we provide you, at the bottom of this policy, the link to the extended policy and the consent forms of the third parties that install these cookies. As required by current legislation for the sending of First and Third Party profiling and analytics cookies, during the first visit to our sites you are asked for prior consent, which can be expressed in the following ways:
– by clicking on the “X” of the banner containing the short information on the home page of the site
– with the continuation of the navigation through access to another area of the site
