They have great importance in sowing, planting, crop care, harvesting and storage. Purple red color, both dark and intense. To the note it has fruity notes ranging from licorice to black berries. To the palate it has a good body and soft and round tannins. Good length that tends to a fruity finish.

Alcohol by volume : 13,0% Vol. (the alcohol content is indicative and may vary by +/- 0.50% by vol.)
Area of production : Salaparuta, 350-500 masl, south-east aspect
Soil: Medium soil texture, from moderately deep to deep with a rich skeleton consisting of abundant pebbles, slightly calcareous and patches of dark vegetal soils.
Training and pruning: Upwards-trained vertical trellis, guyot
Yield per hectare: 8000 kg per hectare of nero d’avola/ 8000 kg per hectare of syrah
Vinification: Harvested at phenolic ripening, the varieties are fermented separately and left to macerate for 12-15 days at 26 °c with daily pump-overs. After racking, it is aged in steel for about 4 months. A part is aged in barriques. The blend is made once the process is completed.
